Dr. Gaton was born and raised in Macon, GA. He received his bachelor of science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his medical degree from the Medical college of Georgia. He trained in full scope family medicine while at Texas A&M Family Medicine residency  having received additional training in Obstetrics, endoscopy, and women's health. Prior to coming to NMFH, he worked in Lancaster, PA delivering care to patients of all ages and worked in Labor and Delivery in the Women’s and Babies Hospital. 

Dr. Gaton is a dedicated family medicine physician committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for patients of all ages. With a strong belief in treating the “whole person,” Dr. Gaton emphasizes preventive care, women's health, and long-term relationships built on trust and respect. He focuses on providing comprehensive care and can treat a broad range of issues and conditions.  He is passionate about serving families across generations and looks forward to continuing to provide care to the families across middle Georgia. 

He lives in Macon with his wife Jennifer and is a second generation family physician working alongside his father Dr. Freddy Gaton in both Macon and Roberta GA.
